29 April 2025 – ClearVue Technologies has notched a major milestone with its first commercial project in Africa, supplying solar skylights for a new World Bank administration building in Abuja, Nigeria.
The project marks multiple firsts for the Australian tech company: its first commercial order on the African continent and its first sale of solar skylights. The deal will see 100 photovoltaic skylights installed on the site—designed to produce 37,800 kWh of energy annually and cut 22,680 kilograms of carbon emissions each year.
The building, designed by Manning Architects, is being hailed as a sustainability benchmark. It’s targeting LEED Gold, WELL, and EDGE certifications—making it one of the most environmentally progressive commercial buildings on the continent.
The skylights were ordered by Venco Imtiaz Construction Company, a general contractor based in Dubai, with ties to the region through existing relationships fostered in the Middle East.
“This project is a strong statement for what’s possible with integrated solar technologies in new markets. Working with an international team on a high-profile build like this helps showcase the global versatility of our solar glass solutions.”
Martin Deil, Global CEO of ClearVue
More than just ticking the green boxes, the skylights will form a visible, functional part of the building’s architecture—delivering daylight, energy savings, and clean power without compromising design.
“This isn’t just a technical install—it’s a design feature. The team at Manning Architects has created something that blends sustainability with a strong architectural statement, which is exactly what our products are designed to support.”
Martin Deil, Global CEO of ClearVue
This latest deal reflects ClearVue’s growing footprint beyond Australia and Asia-Pacific, and highlights the demand for integrated renewable solutions in high-performance buildings across emerging markets.
