Our inks are either visible or invisible during the day, but can always illuminate on demand, allowing the inks to be used in a wide variety of applications. LUSOCO PRODUCT INFORMATION

This concept works via fluorescent inks that absorb sunlight and release energy in the form of light. The light generates electricity which is stored. At night, this energy powers LEDs at the edge of the glass, causing high-contrast illuminated images.

Our fluorescent inks are the only inks on the market that focus on efficiency and brightness, required to achieve energy harvesting in signage. The product is a combination of our technology pillars, which together form a fully integrated, patented solution.

LUSOCO APPLICATIONS

Lusoco creates the next generation of smart sign technology, that can be used for a wide variety of applications. As our technology allows for energy harvesting, off-grid zero-energy applications become possible. This allows displaying an image that is visible both day and night while generating its own energy. These signs are easier to install and allow new opportunities on locations that currently are out of reach.

Interior

A trend towards more glass elements with embedded applications is ongoing in automotive. Car interiors are changed from a functional space to a connection with its driver, where communication is becoming more important. With our platform technology, we create additional comfort by adding sunroof prints with soft illumination and special designs. This is our first example of the next generation high-tech automotive glass.

By smart visual communication, our inks are not always visible for the driver or passengers. With our special fluorescent inks, it is possible to realize an inkjet printed image that is invisible, and only illuminated on demand. This allows the generation of visual assistance within a car window, to communicate with the driver.

Street Furniture

Street furniture is an important connection between the city and its citizen, influencing the scene of a city. With aesthetic prints that are either energy generating or energy efficient, communication between citizen and the city becomes possible. The illuminated print can be a part of the city marketing, a new method to show the city-identity. Our prints are there for communication, while our smart electronics are used to communicate with either sensors or IoT applications, without requiring a connection to the power-grid.

Exterior

Architects are in the unique position to create landmarks in the city. They provide the building with a special silhouette to communicate presence and show pride. Landmarks are used by habitants and visitors of the city as a point of recognition. This works perfectly during the daytime, but often results in challenges during the night, as it is rather difficult to realize that landmark without extensive lighting and light pollution. With our platform technology applied in the facade of the building, it is possible to realize a landmark without high power consumption. In fact, energy harvesting combined with visuals now becomes the state of the art. With this type of facade, the visual communication is energy neutral or even generating, allowing our smart electronics to operate or even become part of the building management system.

Interior

Next to large glass facades, glass becomes an interesting material to be applied inside a building. With its numerous benefits, additional functionality can be added by having a decorative print that can display a message, while also glowing. These applications can either be permanent, but are also being developed in the form of a replaceable sticker, for non-permanent communication. We provide the technology, but require you to create astonishing visuals for the next generation in illuminated visual communication.
